As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, a total of 1,358 ballots still needed to be returned to the Nobles County Auditor/Treasurer's Office by 8 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. That means a total of 152 ballots were returned during Wednesday's business hours.
Voters may hand-deliver ballots to the Auditor-Treasurer’s Office or deposit their ballot in the secure drop box located at Door #1 of the Nobles County Government Center. The drop box is available 24/7 and under video surveillance. The Nobles County Auditor/Treasurer's Office window is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and there will be extended hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
Auditor/Treasurer Joyce Jacobs noted Wednesday night that eight of the county's 22 mail ballot precincts had returned more than 60% of their mail ballots and another 10 precincts were 50% or higher.
