West Lyon High School had four players to lead all schools on the 2024 All Siouxland Conference Softball Team. Sioux Center and MOC-Floyd Valley, meanwhile, each had three players recognized.
Players from West Lyon, which completed the season with a 20-3 record, that were honored on the first team included Jersey Hawf, Reese Kramer, Evy Knoblock and Leah Blauwet. Among the other first team selections were Kavri Van Kekerix and Rylee Bomgaars of Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, Tori Elgersma of Sheldon and Riley Weiler of Central Lyon.
Two more players from West Lyon, Braylyn Childress and Katelyn Berentschot, were recognized on the All Siouxland Conference Softball Second Team. Among other honorees were Raya Van Beek and Natalie Leusink of Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, Peyton Dekker of Sheldon, Shelby Stettnichs of Central Lyon and Grace Sayler of Sibley-Ocheyedan.
Among those northwest Iowa softball players earning All Siouxland Conference Honorable Mention recognition were Mea DeWit of West Lyon, Paige Weber of Sheldon, Cameron Halbur of Boyden Hull-Rock Valley, Ella Jager of Central Lyon, Mattie Hagedorn of Okoboji and Becca Woelber of Sibley-Ocheyedan.
