The Sibley-Ocheyedan Athletic Boosters are sponsoring a baseball hitting clinic that will take place next month.

The Noah Furcht Hitting Clinic will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Jan. 3 at Sibley-Ocheyedan High School. It's a free clinic for students in grades 7-12.

Furcht is an alumnus of Esko High School and Kirkwood Community College who currently plays for the Charlotte 49ers. In two seasons at Kirkwood Community College, he hit .327 with 25 home runs, and he was named to the All-Region first team twice. At Division I Charlotte, he batted .302 in his first season while playing in 55 of 58 games. He was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

The clinic will consist of swing breakdowns, hitting drills and hitting philosophy. Clinic participants should enter Sibley-Ocheyedan High School through the weight room doors.
