The Big South Conference has announced its 2024 All-Conference Volleyball teams for its east and west divisions.
Marshall, which advanced all the way to the Minnesota Class 3A finals before losing to Alexandria, has the most players on the All-West team with five. Making the team were juniors Reese Drake, Avery Fahl and Brooke Gillingham and sophomores Kezlyn Pinckney and Laurel Ryks.
Redwood Valley had three players — all seniors -- earning All-West honors. They were Kendall Huhnerkoch, Cali Johnson and Hailyn Ourada. Three Windom players were also recognized. Senior Charlee Huska made the All-West team, while senior Hannah Dauer and junior Addison Colbert were honorable mention.
Jackson County Central junior Bailey Finck also made the team, and fellow Huskies Paylin Sether — a sophomore — and Lauren Johnson — a senior — were honorable mention picks. Rounding out the All-West Team were Worthington Trojans' senior Jayden Spartz and junior Taryn Tuinstra of Pipestone Area. Arrows junior Jaydn Kor and Luverne senior Ella Reisdorfer were other honorable mention selections.
Belle Plaine, which was defeated by Marshall for the Big South Championship, led all schools in the East Division, with five players earning recognition.
