U.S. Rep. Michelle Fischbach has announced her campaign for another term representing Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District.

Fischbach, first elected in 2020, won re-election in 2024 with over 70% of the vote.  In her announcement, Fischbach highlighted her policy priorities, including reducing federal spending, rolling back regulations, and advocating for rural communities. She credited the current political landscape in Washington for advancing these goals.

Fischbach is currently serving her third term in Congress and sits on the House Committees on Ways and Means and Rules. Before serving in Congress, she was Minnesota’s Lieutenant Governor and the first woman to preside over the state Senate.

Minnesota's 7th congressional district covers the majority of the western part of the state. It's by far the state's largest district and includes almost all of western Minnesota except for a few southern counties that are in the 1st district.
