A snowmobile crash Saturday afternoon north of George, Iowa resulted in the transportation of a George man to an area hospital.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2017 Skidoo snowmobile operated by Colin Sprock, 56, was southbound in the east ditch on Kennedy Avenue north of 200th Street. The snowmobile reportedly hit a rut in the ditch, throwing Sprock. The incident took place shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday.
Sprock was taken by Lyon County Ambulance to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. The snowmobile sustained about $500 in damage.
