Harris Lake Park competed at the Iowa State Dance Association State dance competition in Des Moines on Thursday.
The team received third place for class 1 contemporary, second place for class 1 jazz and first place for class 1 Pom -- state champions.

The Worthington Trojans wrestling team began its season with three wins in Spirit Lake on Thursday night.
In one match, WHS topped Central Lyon/George-Little Rock 51-28. The Trojans picked up 30 points via forfeited matches. Jorge Flores-Hernandez won by fall at 138 pounds, as did Levi Hennings at 175 and Chase Byrne at 190, and Josiah Banegas was victorious by decision at 165.
The Trojans next earned a 45-33 triumph over Sheldon/South O'Brien. Dominic Larson (113 pounds), Flores-Hernandez (138), Dalton Larson (150), Carlos Castillo (157) and Byrne (190) each won by fall. Kian Ling (126) won by decision, and WHS also picked up 12 more points via forfeit,
Worthington also won their dual against Spirit Lake Park 47-29. Winning by fall for the Trojans were Sam Dagel in 31 seconds (106 pounds), Dalton Larson 150), Castillo (157), Banegas (165,) Hennings (175) and Byrne (190.) The Trojans also took 12 points on forfeits.

The Worthington Hockey Association is hosting its annual 10u &12u tournament beginning today and continuing through Sunday. This year, there are six 10u teams and five 12u teams.
The first game was set to start at 1:30 p.m. today, and the final game is at 2 p.m. Sunday. A full day of hockey is scheduled for Saturday, with action beginning at 7:30 a.m. and the final game starting at 9:15 p.m. with back-to-back games all day long. There will be multiple families and players in town this weekend shopping, eating and enjoying the community.
