Federated Rural Electric, Jackson, announces that two regional students have received the 16th annual $1,000 Federated/Basin Scholarships. This is the 14th year that two students were selected.
Faith Freking, Heron Lake, receives the $1,000 Federated/L&O/Basin Scholarship. Freking is a senior at Heron Lake-Okabena High School; she will attend South Dakota State University to major in nursing. Freking is the daughter of Mark and Sheila.
Emily Stauter, Welcome, receives a $1,000 Basin/Federated scholarship.
