Madisyn Huisman of the Minnesota West Community & Technical College Lady Jays has been named the Minnesota College Athletic Conference South Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 3-9.
Huisman scored 36 points and added 16 rebounds and six steals in the Lady Jays’ two victories last week. Huisman, a Worthington High School graduate and Minnesota West freshman, is currently averaging 10.1 points and 5.3 points per game for the Jays, who are currently 2-0 in the MCAC South and 6-9 overall.
