A celebration marking 50 years of service by the Plum Creek Library System will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Chautauqua Park in Worthington.
The library system now has 21 members and 26 library locations in nine counties. People attending the celebration Sunday will have opportunities to play outdoor games, spin a trivia wheel and reunite with past library staff and friends. A Library Walk featuring each of the current Plum Creek Library System member libraries will go through the park, and a poetry walk with classic and modern poetry selections will also be available in the park.
The event is free and open to the public.
