Luverne I-90 exit ramp to close for work

The westbound Interstate 90 exit ramp to U.S. 75 near Luverne will close for construction Sept. 7-10, weather permitting, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The detour route for the U.S. 75 westbound off ramp is Rock County 3, Rock County 4, to U.S. 75.

I-90 traffic between Beaver Creek and Luverne is currently reduced to a single lane in each direction to allow for work in the center median. I-90 is expected to fully reopen to traffic later this week.

The construction project includes concrete pavement repair on the existing westbound traffic lanes and ramps, reconstructing shoulders, resurfacing the bridge over Rock County 11 and drainage improvements. Additional I-90 work east of U.S. 75 is expected to occur in late September and will require a single lane closure on westbound I-90.

PCiRoads, LLC. was awarded the project with a bid of $4,844,421.70.
