Sophomore setter Lexi Schreurs and sophomore outside hitter Ella Hesse of the Minnesota West women's volleyball team have been named to the All-Region 13 team.
Hesse and Schreurs will lead the 34-4 Lady Jays into the national tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, next week. The tourney is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday.
Additionally, Hesse, Schreurs and freshman outside hitter Sadie Krahling have each been named to the All-MCAC First Team. Earning All-MCAC Second Team recognition were freshman libero Kadyn Paulson and freshman middle hitter Ally Nelson.

The All-MCAC and the NJCAA All-Region 13 Men's Soccer Teams have been announced for the 2024 season.
Prince Lebbi, forward for Minnesota West, has been selected as the MCAC Men's Soccer Player of the Year. Lebbi scored seven goals and assisted on three in his 12 games this season. He scored on 21.2% of his shots during the season and led Minnesota West to a 5-8-1 overall record and a 4-3-1 record in the MCAC Lebbi was named to the both the All-MCAC and All-Region 13 teams.
Also named to the All-MCAC team from Minnesota West was Petrus Pekkeriet, a freshman midfielder for the Bluejays.

In the state Class 4A football quarterfinals Thursday, Marshall blanked Byron 21-0. Levi Maeyaert completed a 39-yard pass to Jack Meier for the first score, Mason Eickhoff added a one-yard TD run and Gavin Schaefer also ran four yards for six points.
In the state 9-Man quarterfinals, unbeaten Hills-Beaver Creek also advanced with a 34-14 victory over Border West. Beau Bakken had rushing touchdowns of six and two yards for the Patriots. Jamin Metzger connected with Jace Gacke for a 20-yard TD pass and added a 22-yard run for another score. Sawyer Bosch also reached the end zone on a five-yard run.
