The Nobles County Toys for Tots Toy Drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center in Worthington.
Individuals may donate an unwrapped toy and register to win a Green Mountain grill donated by Steve Henderscheidt Trucking. Cookies and hot cocoa will be available at the event, and there will be opportunities to have photos taken with Santa. Saturday’s event is sponsored by Pulver Towing.
Organizers of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots Program of Nobles are asking community residents, businesses and volunteers for support. The program provides new, unwrapped toys for disadvantaged children at Christmas. The registration period for families to request toys from the campaign began Oct. 1 and continues through Dec. 4. Youths from 0 to 17 years of age are eligible to receive a gift through the program and they – as well as their parents or guardians – must be residents of Nobles County.
Applications for toys are available at Walgreens, Hy-Vee and Serenity Gifts in Worthington; Keith’s Grocery and the city of Adrian office in Adrian; or TC’s Tavern in Brewster.
Toys for Tots is also seeking volunteers throughout Nobles County to assist with Distribution Day. More about the campaign may be found on its Facebook page.
