One injured in Wednesday car-vs.-tree collision

An Iona man was injured after his vehicle struck a tree on Wednesday in Murray County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup operated by Jody Michael Paugh, 56, of Iona was southbound on Minnesota 267 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck the tree. The crash was reported at 1:47 p.m. Wednesday.

Paugh sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. The Murray County Sheriff’s Office, Murray County Ambulance, Iona Fire and First Responders, Slayton Fire Department and North Memorial Air Care assisted at the scene.
