The Worthington Trojans football team will have another home game after all this season.
The Trojans have earned the No. 7 seed and will face the No. 8 Tri-City United in the Section 3AAA playoffs at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Trojan Field. The winner of the game will not advance in the playoffs. Both teams have a record of 1-7 on the season.
In Section 3 9-Man football, Hills-Beaver Creek is the No. 1 seed and will have a bye. The 8-0 Patriots will host the winner of Tuesday night's 7 p.m. matchup of No.5 Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons at No. 4 Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. No. 2 seed Mountain Lake Area also has a bye.
In Section 3A, No. 1 Springfield and No. 2 Adrian-Ellsworth both have byes. The Dragons will meet the victor of Tuesday night's Tracy-Milroy-Balaton at Murray County Central game at 3 p.m. on the 26th. Springfield will meet either No. 4 Sleepy Eye United or No. 5 Marttin County West at that same time.
In Section 3AA, unbeaten Jackson County Central is the top seed and has a first-round bye. The Huskies will host either No. 4 LeSueur-Henderson or No. 5 Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial at 3 p.m. on the 26th. Pipestone Area is seeded second and also has a first-round bye. The winner of the matchup between No. 6 Windom at No. 3 Redwood Valley on Tuesday will at Pipestone on the 26th.
