Red Cross blood drives scheduled around region

Despite ongoing appeals to donors and the public, the American Red Cross emergency blood and platelet shortage continues. Donors of all blood types -– especially type O -– and platelet donors are urged to make an appointment to give now to help meet the needs of patients.

Donors are urged to schedule an appointment now by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Adrian: 1 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3, American Legion Post 32, 109 Maine Ave.

Balaton: 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10, Community Center, 134 Third St.

Jackson: 1 to 6 p.m. Nov. 18 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 19, Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 614 Logan Ave.

Lismore: 2 to 7 p.m. Nov. 2, American Legion, Main Street

Marshall: 1 to 6 p.m. Nov. 8, Living World Lutheran Church, 800 E. Southview Court

Mountain Lake: 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 11, Community Center, 1027 Second Ave.

Pipestone: 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9, St. Leo's Catholic Church, 415 S. Hiawatha

Round Lake: 2 to 7 p.m. Nov. 1, American Legion, 409 Second Ave.
