Reminder issued to county's mail ballot voters

Less than 1,000 ballots still need to be returned to the Nobles County Auditor/Treasurer's Office by 8 p.m. tomorrow — which is Election Day — to be counted.

Auditor/Treasurer Joyce Jacobs said for those who live in mail ballot precincts, they may bring their ballot in and vote in a polling place booth, as several are set up. The Auditor/Treasurer's office does serve as the polling place for those who reside in mail ballot precincts. If you have lost or misplaced your ballot, please come into the Auditor/Treasurer's office, and you will be given paperwork in order to obtain a replacement ballot. If you live in a mail ballot precinct and are a new voter, you should go to the Auditor/Treasurer's office to get registered and receive your ballot.

Voters may hand-deliver ballots to the Auditor-Treasurer’s Office or deposit their ballot in the secure drop box located at Door #1 of the Nobles County Government Center. The drop box is available 24/7 and under video surveillance. Hours for The Nobles County Auditor/Treasurer's Office window are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, and it will open at 7 a.m. Tuesday.

For more information on voting, contact the Nobles County Auditor-Treasurer’s Office.
