Session on diverse workforces scheduled for Oct. 4

"Building Inclusive Workspaces: Innovative Workforce Solutions in Southwest Minnesota," a regional training session focused on employers, will be hosted from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at Key Largo, 29 Valhalla Drive, Slayton.

It's hoped that attendees will leave the session with strategies for attracting and retaining a diverse workforce needed in southwest Minnesota now and into the future. This will be the kickoff of a series of meetings culminating with job placement opportunities for businesses.

The event is being coordinated by the "Drive for Five" Initiative, which includes FORWARD Worthington, the Marshall Area Chamber, Pipestone Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, Redwood Area Chamber & Tourism and the Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council. The registration deadline is Sept. 30; people may contact any of the above organizations for more information.
