Abagotte Opiew, a just-graduated Worthington High School senior who competed in football, basketball and track and field this past year, is this week’s Radio Works Athlete of the Week! Opiew captured a Class AA title Friday in the triple jump at the state meet and helped the Trojans to a second-place finish as a team. He also took sixth place in the long jump competition and was a member of the 4x400 meter relay team that placed sixth.

Athletes honored will be announced Monday mornings on each of our Radio Works stations. Each recipient will be recognized with a Radio Works Athlete of the Week T-shirt as well as recognition on our social media pages. Athletes will be recognized from schools that include Worthington, Round Lake-Brewster, Jackson County Central, Heron Lake-Okabena, Fulda, Sibley-Ocheyedan, Adrian-Ellsworth and Minnesota West.
