Jacari Swinea ran for four touchdowns Tuesday night as the seventh-seeded Worthington Trojans concluded their season with a 28-6 victory over No. 8 Tri-City United in Section 3AAA action.
Tri-City United went three and out on its first drive, and Swinea would pick up all but one yard on the ensuing WHS possession. His two-yard TD with 6:48 to go in the opening quarter made it 7-0, Trojans.
That would remain the score until the fourth quarter. Following a Chase Byrne interception, Swinea reached the end zone on another two-yard run. Dawson Svalland then recovered a fumble, and Swinea later got his third TD on a 26-yard scamper. The final Swinea score came on a five-yard run with 2:41 to go, after which Alex Galvez kicked his fourth PAT of the night.
Tri-City United scored an 8-yard TD pass with 32 seconds to go. WHS, which got 177 rushing yards in the game from Swinea, finishes its year at 2-7 following its Tuesday night win at Trojan Field. The Titans end at 1-8.
