The Worthington High School girls tennis team opened its season Friday by playing three matches.
The Trojans lost by 7-0 to both Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd and Redwood Valley and were defeated 5-2 by MACCRAY.
In the match against Lac Qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd, Trojans No. 1 singles player Hannah McNab had the lone three-set match and came close to a win, falling by scores of 6-2 5-7 10-8. McNab did pick up Worthington’s first singles win of the year with a 6-2 6-1 triumph in the MACRAY match. At No. 3 doubles against MACRAY, the Trojan tandem of Kah Blu Moo and Emma Hietbrink won 6-0 6-3.
