The Worthington Trojans boys basketball team has received the No. 3 seed in the Section 2AAA tournament that begins Tuesday.
The Trojans, who have a record of 19-5 this season, will take on sixth-seeded Jordan at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the WHS gym. The Trojans edged the Hubmen, who are 12-12 on the year, by a score of 59-54 on Feb. 11 in Worthington.
Other first-round games at 7 p.m. Tuesday include top-seeded Mankato East hosting No. 8 St. Peter; No. 2 New Ulm taking on visiting No. 7 New Prague and fourth-seeded Mankato West taking on visiting No. 5 Marshall. The sectional semifinals are scheduled for March 11, and the championship game is set for 7 p.m. March 16. Each of those games will be at Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter.
