The Worthington High School BPA will be sending eight members to the Minnesota BPA Conference following Saturday’s BPA Spring Leadership Conference Region 8 competition in Marshall.
Advancing in the Administrative Support Team category were Cristina Mireles, Alondra Leon Flores, Sophie Goehler and Kaw Blay, who took second place, and Andrea Miranda, Peer Htoo, Edgar Mendez Ochoa and Brayden Meester, who were fourth. Flores placed first in Extemporaneous Speech and second in Prepared Speech, and Blay was also first in Fundamental Desktop Publishing.
Mireles also was fourth in Fundamental Desktop Publishing, Meester was fourth in Fundamental Word Processing and Miranda fifth in Entrepreneurship.
The members going to state will be doing special fundraisers for their trip later on this spring. There will be a special pizza night from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Worthington Pizza Ranch for a Community Impact Night.
