The Worthington High School gymnastics team remained unbeaten in meets this season by winning on the road against Martin County Area, 155.375-133.250, on Tuesday night.
Jada Milbrath of the Trojans captured the all-around competition with a composite score of 34.6. Teammate Brooklyn Dykstra was third at 33.425.
Milbrath was tops on the vault with a score of 9.0, and Worthington's Isabella Lazzu was third and Lucy Thier fourth. Dykstra was tops for WHS on the bars with a second-place finish, while Milbrath was third and Kenadie Thiner fifth.
Milbrath also finished first on the beam with a score of 8.7. Thier was second, Jordis Weber fourth and Dykstra fifth. On the floor, Thier was second for the Trojans, Thiner third and Milbrath fifth.

Redwood Valley scored the first 10 points of the game Tuesday night against the host Worthington Trojans and went to post a 70-42 boys basketball win.
WHS, down 30-17 at the half, went on a quick 8-0 run to start the second half, cutting the deficit to just five. The Cardinals, now 6-1 this season, quickly regrouped and went to build an advantage as large as 33 points in posting the victory.
Jacari Swinea scored 12 of the Trojans' 17 first-half points, but his court time was limited in the second half due to fouls. He wound up with 13 points for the game, followed by Caleb Meyer with 10. WHS, which was playing its home opener, is now 1-3 this year.
Lukas Means had 26 points for Redwood Valley and Elway Berg added 17.

The Worthington Trojans boys hockey team played their first game this season in front of their home fans and delivered a 7-2 triumph Tuesday night over Fairmont.
Worthington was tied at 2-2 with the Cardinals entering the third period, but the Trojans scored five times in the final stanza — including two within 12 seconds of each other. Dominic Pavelko scored on an assist from Trenton Chantharath with 15:36 still to go in the third, and Ayden Stugelmeyer had an unassisted goal with 15:24 remaining to put WHS in front 4-2.
Stugelmeyer and Spenser Nickel each had two goals and an assist for the Trojans, now 2-4 this year. Also scoring WHS goals were Ryker Thier and Anthony Jimenez as the Trojans put 40 shots on goal compared to 15 for winless Fairmont. In the pivotal third period, the Trojans took 15 shots compared to the Cardinals' two.

In girls hockey, Fairmont improved to 7-3 on the season by blanking visiting Worthington 5-0. The Trojans are now 2-8.

In girls basketball, Windom Area was home against Worthington and defeated the Trojans for the second time this season, 99-58.
