Worthington Area Community Foundation awards grants

The Worthington Area Community Foundation on Monday hosted its annual grant awards presentation at Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center. More than 20 agencies were awarded a total of $29,878.21.


The Worthington Area Community Foundation accepts grant applications each year from Aug. 1 through Sept. 30. Foundation grants are made to nonprofit and nonpolitical groups. Priority areas include arts and culture, environmental causes, youth development and education, recreational or civic activities essential to building and strengthening the community.


Award recipients receiving grants this year are: Civil Air Patrol, District 518 Community Education, District 518 eSports, District 518 Robotics Team, Every Meal, 59 Corridor CEO Organization, Friends of the Auditorium, Grace Community Church, Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, International Festival, Minnesota West Foundation, Nobles County Art Center, Nobles County 4-H, Nobles County Historical Society, Southwestern Minnesota Opportunity Council, University of Minnesota Extension, Worthington Area YMCA, Worthington Christian School, Worthington High School Marching Band and the Worthington Hockey Association.
