The Worthington gymnastics team hosted Windom-Mountain Lake on Friday night and came away with a 135.775-110.050 victory.
The Trojans' Brooklyn Dykstra took first place in the all-around competition with an overall score of 34.225, and teammate Jada Milbrath placed second. Milbrath was first on the vault at 8.925 and followed by Trojans Isabella Lazzu in second, Lucy Thier in third and Marley Phomsatry in fifth.
On the bars, Dykstra had the top score at 8.275 as WHS swept the top five spots. Milbrath was second, Kenadie Thiner third, Phomsatry fourth and Jordis Weber fifth. Trojan gymnasts also captured the first five places on the beam, with Weber leading the way at 8.6 and followed in order by Thiner, Dykstra, Thier and Milbrath.
Thiner was the winner on the floor with a score of 9.1. Again, Worthington swept the top five, as Dykstra was second, Thier third, Milbrath fourth and Lazzu fifth.

Wrestlers from more than 35 area high schools competed at the Redwood River Riot wrestling tournament Friday and Saturday in Redwood Falls.
Among the wrestlers placing were: Adrian Area -- Travis Weiss, third at 133 pounds; Roberto Hernandez, sixth at 215; Jackson Jenniges, seventh at 152; Charger Erlandson, eighth at 145; and Caleb Wolf, eighth at 180. For Fulda-Murray County Central — Kaston Clarke, third at 114; Carson Klein, fifth at 189; Quentin Lewis, sixth at 160; and Colby Kesterloot, seventh at 215. For Worthington — Chase Byrne, third at 189 and Sam Dagel, fifth at 107.

The Worthington Trojans girls hockey team won its third game of the season Saturday afternoon as they beat Morris-Benson on the road 4-1.
Sydney Van Briesen scored a goal on an assist from Sadie Nickel, Peyton Nickel scored on an assist from Maddi Cummings, Breeta Johnson added an unassisted goal and Cummings tallied an empty-netter. Worthington, which outshot Morris-Benson 38-22, is now 3-8 on the season.
In boys hockey over the weekend, WHS dropped a pair of close games away from home.
The Trojans were defeated Friday night by Prairie Centre, 6-4. Spenser Nickel had a pair of goals for Worthington, and Mason Ommen and Dominic Pavelko also scored. Pavelko also chipped in with a pair of assists in the game. Anthony Jimenez, Nickel, Ommen and Kain Thepmontry had one assist apiece. The Trojans were outshot 43-22.
On Saturday, the Trojans rallied from a 5-2 deficit to tie the game, but Morris-Benson scored with less than 2:30 to go in regulation to beat Worthington 6-5. Nickel had a pair of goals and an assist. Jimenez, Pavelko and Ryker Thier each had one goal. WHS, which now has a record of 2-6, was outshot 34-24.

In girls basketball Friday night, the Trojans rallied late on their home court but wound up getting edged by Waseca 46-43.
Worthington trailed 29-23 at the half and the Bluejays — who had been winless on the year — extended their lead to 45-32. WHS, though, went on an 11-0 run to trim the deficit to two, but ran out of time in the end.
Jayden Spartz led the Trojans with 17 points on the night, Saige Scheepstra had 11 and Grace Barber nine.
