Worthington man dies in Minnesota 60 crash

A Worthington man died early Wednesday morning as a result of an accident on Minnesota 60.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2008 Ford Edge operated by Miguel Angel Heredia, 43, of Worthington was eastbound on Minnesota 60 in snow/ice conditions and lost control, entered the south ditch and rolled. The crash took place at 6:21 a.m. Wednesday at milepost 35 on Minnesota 60 in Wilder.


Heredia died at the scene of the crash. The State Patrol reported that he had not been wearing a seat belt. The Cottonwood County Sheriff's Office and the Windom Police Department, Fire Department and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
