A Worthington man died as the result of a pickup-vs-semi crash Tuesday afternoon on Minnesota 60 in Worthington.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 1991 GMC Sonoma pickup operated by Codey James Fisher, 33, of Worthington was traveling northbound on Minnesota 60 in the southbound lanes, and a 2005 Trao semi hauling lumber and operated by Brandon Allen Hunter, 45, of Shevlin was southbound on Minnesota 60. The vehicles collided head-on near the intersection with Paul Avenue. The crash occurred in wet conditions and was reported at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Fisher died at the scene of the crash. Hunter was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The scene wasn’t cleared until after 1 a.m. Wednesday. Assisting at the scene were the Worthington Ambulance, Worthington Fire Department and Nobles County Sheriff’s Office.
